Report by Sheila and Emily, 5th class
On Thursday the 4th of May the u11 camogie team travelled to Tramore to play in the Eastern u11 camogie blitz. They played four top quality matches. The first match was against Ballyduff. It was a tough start to the day but we came out on top. Next up we faced our main rivals Ballygunner, we are used to playing against them but it was our first time playing them at this age group. Abbie Kavanagh set the tone with an early score and we were winners once again. There was great defensive work from Emily Kirby Whelan, Keeley Walsh and Sinead Dempsey. We then faced Butlerstown and this was a battle. The girls worked their socks off and once again were victorious. Our last match of the day was against was against the host school Holy Cross and we finished the day with our best match yet with super goals from Sheila O’Donovan, Ciara Ryan, Chloe Howard and Isobel Keane.
